Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Commis III Pastry to join our culinary team in Doha Qatar. As a key member of our pastry department you will assist in creating delectable desserts and pastries that delight our guests and uphold our reputation for excellence.

  • Prepare a wide variety of pastries desserts and baked goods according to recipes and standards
  • Assist the Pastry Chef in daily operations including mise en place and production
  • Ensure proper food handling sanitation and safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
  • Contribute creative ideas for new dessert menu items
  • Participate in ongoing training and skill development
  • Adapt to the local culinary scene while maintaining international standards
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas utensils and equipment
  • Have full knowledge of all menu items daily features and promotions
  • Ensure freshness and suitability of products used by the section and that they are stored properly.
  • Report any equipment on the section requiring repairs and maintenance.
  • Do daily routine tasks by himself and in conjunction with supervisor.
  • Control costs by minimizing spoilage waste and exercising portion control.
  • improvements.

Qualifications :

  • 12 years of experience in a professional kitchen preferably in pastry
  • Culinary diploma or certificate specializing in pastry (preferred)
  • Current food safety certification
  • Proficiency in pastry preparation techniques and baking skills
  • Strong knowledge of various desserts and pastries
  • Excellent knife skills and food presentation abilities
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced team environment
  • Knowledge of ingredient interactions and baking chemistry
  • Creativity and attention to detail in dessert preparation and presentation
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and local flavors
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
