Location: Boston MA (Inoffice with occasional travel to the Providence office)
Work Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30 am 5 pm (with availability for extended hours or weekends if needed)
Duties & Responsibilities
• Payroll Processing:
• Prepares and processes the firm’s weekly payroll.
• Onboards and offboards employees.
• Runs reports and processes other employee status changes.
• Defines procedures for managing payroll records including retention protection retrieval transfer and disposal.
• HR & Benefits Administration:
• Assists the HR Manager with benefits administration and related events.
• Oversees scheduling for Secretary coverage (vacations missed time) to ensure Attorneys are adequately supported.
• Partners with HR to develop and update office policies as needed.
• Office Administration:
• Oversees the general administration of the Boston office including organizing meetings/events and facilities management.
• Procures office supplies and coordinates with external service providers.
• Handles office mail deliveries and greets guests.
• Attorney/Paralegal Support:
• Assists attorneys and paralegals with administrative tasks as needed.
• Project Management & Reporting:
• Performs reviews and analyses of special projects ensuring management is kept properly informed.
• IT Coordination:
• Coordinates with the IT department regarding office equipment and technologyrelated issues.

• Proven experience in office management or administrative roles.

• Strong organizational and planning capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
Preferred Skills & Abilities
• Experience with Paycom payroll systems.
• Knowledge of human resources management practices and procedures.
• Experience in a law firm or professional services industry is a plus.
Education & Experience
• High school diploma required; a college degree is preferred.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of firm personnel and external entities.
• Experience handling highly confidential information with discretion.
• Technical proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Office.

• Location: This position is based in Boston MA and is not remote or hybrid.
• Travel: Occasional travel to the Providence office may be required.
