Registered Nurse - Med Surg - 53680

Confident Staff Solutions is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team and work in the Med Surg unit at a healthcare facility in Pittsfield MA. This is a temporary contract position with the potential for extension. As a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg unit you will provide direct patient care and support to individuals who require medical and surgical treatment. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess plan implement and evaluate patient care plans. This position requires a high level of critical thinking communication and clinical skills. Responsibilities: Assess and monitor patients conditions including vital signs symptoms and changes in status Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans Educate patients and their families on their conditions treatments and selfcare techniques Document patient care and progress in electronic medical records Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families Advocate for patients needs and ensure their safety and wellbeing Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff Adhere to all hospital policies procedures and regulations Qualifications: Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts Minimum of 1 year of recent Med Surg experience in a hospital setting BLS certification Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility to work night shifts and rotate weekends Familiarity with electronic medical records systems We offer competitive pay flexible scheduling and ongoing support and training.
