Position: Registered Nurse (RN) PCU (Progressive Care Unit)

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a temporary to permanent position in Des Moines IA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care and be able to provide exceptional patient care in a fastpaced environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care in the PCU including monitoring vital signs administering medications and performing diagnostic tests
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
Monitor and document patient progress including any changes in condition or response to treatment
Educate patients and their families on disease management medication regimens and followup care
Maintain accurate and uptodate medical records
Adhere to all hospital policies procedures and safety protocols
Communicate effectively with patients families and healthcare team members
Qualifications:
Active RN license in the state of Iowa
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Progressive Care Unit
BLS and ACLS certifications
Strong critical thinking and problemsolving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work night shifts and weekends as needed
