Confident Staff Solutions is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a temporary position in the Labor and Delivery/Mother Baby unit at a hospital in Glens Falls NY. As a Registered Nurse in this role you will be responsible for providing highquality care to mothers and newborns during the labor and delivery process as well as postpartum care for both mother and baby. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and assess the physical and emotional status of mothers and newborns during labor and delivery providing appropriate interventions as needed Administer medications and assist with pain management techniques Assist with the delivery process including monitoring fetal heart rate and coaching mothers through contractions Provide postpartum care and education to mothers on breastfeeding newborn care and postpartum recovery Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient Document patient care and maintain accurate records Communicate effectively with patients families and healthcare team members Maintain a safe and clean working environment adhering to infection control and safety protocols Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and advancements in labor and delivery and motherbaby care Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery and/or motherbaby care BLS and NRP certifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced and dynamic environment Strong critical thinking and problemsolving skills Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate and patientcentered care Flexibility to work day shifts and occasional weekends as needed At Confident Staff Solutions we are committed to providing our employees with a positive and supportive work environment.
