ABOUT WOMEN IN SALES FOR A GREEN FUTURE
This project delves into the challenges and opportunities faced by green sales initiatives in Africa focusing on how sales training capacity building and mentorship can impact the sectors emerging market dynamics. It also emphasizes the role of sales professionals in shaping the green transformation. The overarching goal of the project is to skill upskill and reskill women and youth specifically in the field of sales. By honing their sales capabilities the project aims to empower participants to promote and sell ecofriendly products and services effectively. This in turn contributes to the overarching objective of propelling companies to the forefront of the green transformation.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
As a Business Development lead you will play a crucial role in driving engagement and partnership development within the green industry sector. Your responsibilities will include stakeholder mapping identifying ideal green companies engaging with key decisionmakers onboarding green companies and facilitating job placements for program participants.
The Main goal is to facilitate job placements to 1500 beneficiaries of the program and source 60 green companies for capacity building in the green sector for the next 1.5 years.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Map & analyze key stakeholders within the green industry sector including government entities associations and companies that would be potential partners for the program.
Establish relationships with key decisionmakers and influencers within identified green companies to explore partnership & placement opportunities for program beneficiaries..
Initiate discussions to explore collaboration opportunities and establish partnerships through Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).
Facilitate the onboarding process for green companies interested in participating in the program.
Coordinate the drafting review and signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with partner companies.
Liaise with the marketing team to organize engagement events such as breakfast meetings webinars to drive awareness strengthen relationships gather feedback and discuss future collaboration.
Design and develop a structured placement process for program participants transitioning into job roles.
Map and forge partnerships with green sector employers industry associations and government agencies to facilitate job placements.
Conduct placement drives to understand hiring needs match participants with suitable job opportunities and facilitate placements.
Nurture and maintain relationships with existing partners and stakeholders to ensure ongoing collaboration and support.
Serve as a primary point of contact for partner inquiries requests and feedback and address any issues or concerns promptly.
Track and analyze key performance metrics related to partnership development engagement activities and job placements.
Prepare regular reports and updates for internal stakeholders highlighting progress achievements and areas for improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Sales Marketing or related field.
Proven experience in stakeholder engagement partnership development and B2B sales.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong networking abilities and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
Knowledge of the green industry sector and its dynamics.
Experience in project management and coordination.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
KEY DELIVERABLES:
Map out all green & greening stakeholders in Kenya
Initiate at least 20 collaboration discussions with stakeholders per week.
Plan & execute engagement events e.g. Breakfast meetings webinars or workshops to drive awareness and foster relationships.
Onboard 8 green companies per month into the capacity building program to have at least a cohort of 2o companies each quarter.
Development and refinement of the structured placement process.
Facilitate 300 Job placements per Quarter to achieve the goal of 1500 within a period of 1.5yrs.
Weekly & Monthly progress reports submitted: Reports detailing progress achievements and areas for improvement.
Manage a team BD Executives ensuring they are exceeding their individual KPIs related to stakeholder engagement partnership development and job placements.
This Business development role encompasses a range of responsibilities aimed at driving engagement partnership development and job placements within the green industry sector. It requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills and a passion for sustainability.
