We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role you will be responsible for managing tax and compliance tasks preparing financial statements and supporting clients with accounting needs across various industries. Your work will help drive the success of Australian SMEs and ensure the highest standards of accuracy in financial reporting. Job Qualifications


Responsibilities:


  • Completing compliance and tax related work from start to finish.

  • Analyse client data that is presented in varied format form client to client and enter data into client s software.

  • Deriving information from ATO Portal.

  • Preparation of Financial statements & Income tax.

  • Deriving information to download as work papers for input into client s software.

  • Updating clients preferred accounting system with adjustments to match their records with the client once job is completed.



Requirements


Requirements:


  • 4 years of experience in Australian Taxation and Compliance

  • 4 years of experience in Australian Accounting

  • Experience in working with Australian SMEs

  • Experience in the preparation and review of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals sole traders companies and trusts

  • Competent with computer operations as well as some specific applications such as Xero MYOB QBO

  • With Excellent oral and written English communication skills

  • The person must be keen to learn and develop their computer competencies

  • Generally able to work independently through tasks until completion.

  • Excellent personal time and task (To do list) management.

  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

  • Must have strong communication skills excellent work ethic and can work as part of a team

  • A friendly committed and flexible attitude

  • A positive attitude and a great willingness to learn



Minimum of 5 years Australian accounting and taxation experience Xero / MYOB Certified Experience in the preparation and review of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, and trusts Experience working with Australian SMEs Competent with computer operations as well as some specific applications, such as Xero, MYOB, Microsoft Word, Excel, outlook. Experience with relevant computer systems The person must be keen to learn and develop their computer competencies Particularly good in verbal and written English communication skills
