Job Description:
The Investor Onboarding Coordinator is responsible for managing the process of onboarding new investors into our platform. This includes coordinating with investors gathering necessary documents liaising with the Registrar and Transfer Agent (RTA) validating KYC (Know Your Customer) information and ensuring all documents are in order. The role involves ensuring a seamless and efficient process for new investors maintaining strong communication with both investors and internal teams and addressing any specific requests related to KYC and KRA (KYC Registration Agency) validation.
Key Responsibilities:
Investor Coordination:
Serve as the primary point of contact for new investors during the onboarding process.
Communicate with investors to gather all required documents (e.g. KYC forms identity proofs etc.) for the onboarding process.
Provide investors with clear instructions on required documentation and help resolve any questions or concerns.
Document Collection & Verification:
Collect and verify investor documents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Work closely with investors to facilitate the submission of necessary documents.
Coordinate with the Registrar and Transfer Agent (RTA) for document processing and compliance checks.
KYC & KRA Validation:
Ensure that the investors KYC process is completed and validated.
If the KYC is not already validated ensure submission to the KRA for validation and follow up as necessary.
Perform KRA validations monitor KYC status and provide updates to the investors regarding the status of their verification.
KRA Modifications & Updates:
Address investor requests for changes to KRA details (e.g. address contact information or other personal details).
Coordinate with the necessary teams to make changes and ensure updates are completed in a timely manner.
Ensure proper documentation and evidence for any changes made to the KRA profile.
Followup & Support:
Follow up with investors who have not submitted required documents or completed the KYC process within the stipulated time frame.
Maintain a proactive approach to ensure smooth onboarding resolving any issues or delays promptly.
System Management:
Maintain accurate records of the onboarding process in the system for each investor.
Update internal databases with investor details document status and KYC validation progress.
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure that all onboarding activities are in compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies.
Generate and share reports on the status of ongoing investor onboarding processes with senior management.
Investor Relationship Management:
Provide a high level of customer service to new investors ensuring a smooth and positive experience during the onboarding process.
Address and resolve investor queries or concerns related to the onboarding process.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Finance or related field.
Previous experience in financial services investor relations or similar roles is preferred.
Strong knowledge of KYC and KRA processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint)
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
