Overview
The RNFL Float Pool Med/Surg (Hispanic) is a vital position within our healthcare organization focusing on delivering exceptional nursing care to a diverse patient population. This role requires a highly skilled and adaptable registered nurse who can float between various medical and surgical units providing support where needed. The RN will play an integral role in ensuring patient safety promoting health outcomes and delivering culturally competent care tailored to the Hispanic community. This position is critical for meeting the fluctuating staffing needs of our facilities especially in highdemand periods. The ability to communicate fluently in Spanish and understand the cultural nuances of the Hispanic population enhances the quality of care provided. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team the RN will assess patient needs implement care plans and assist in patient education ultimately striving to achieve the best possible patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population across medical and surgical units.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed ensuring adherence to protocols.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs regularly.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance disease prevention and postdischarge care.
- Document patient care and progress in electronic health records accurately.
- Assist with various medical procedures and promote safety measures.
- Respond promptly to patient needs prioritizing care based on urgency.
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with hospital policies procedures and regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
- Provide culturally sensitive care that respects patients backgrounds and preferences.
- Train and supervise nursing students and new staff when requested.
- Facilitate effective communication between patients families and healthcare teams.
- Manage patient flow and adapt to changing unit requirements flexibly.
- Stay current with nursing best practices continuing education and industry standards.

Job Requirements:
2 years of recent (within the last year or two) acute care MedSurg RN experience within unit required
