Job Description

Overview


The RNFL Oncology position is a crucial role within our healthcare team dedicated to providing exceptional nursing care to oncology patients particularly within the Hispanic community.

This fulltime position is designed for a Registered Nurse with specialized knowledge in oncology who is also fluent in Spanish to ensure effective communication and culturally appropriate care. As a key player in the treatment process the nurse will work closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams playing an integral role in patient assessment treatment planning and ongoing management of patient health. From administering medications to offering emotional support and education the RN will foster a supportive environment that encourages patients and their families. The collaboration with other healthcare professionals and community resources is essential to build comprehensive care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient. This position not only focuses on clinical expertise but also emphasizes the importance of empathy and cultural competency in improving patient outcomes and experiences.

1 year of Recent RN experience.

Shift Details:
Days (Rotating Weekends): 7a7p
Nights (Rotating Weekends): 7p7a


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document findings.
  • Monitor and manage side effects of treatments and report changes to the medical team.
  • Provide patient education on treatment plans medications and lifestyle modifications.
  • Offer emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
  • Assist in coordination of care including treatment schedules and referrals
  • Educate patients about clinical trials and research opportunities.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of oncology care standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Current RN license in the state of Florida.
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in oncology nursing.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
