Job Description

  • The PM/CM Manager manages several projects with the assistance of CM Leads at any given time endtoend (from Concept to Turnover) to deliver them on time with quality and within budget. He/She reports directly to PM/CM Head.

Key Functions Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages and delivers projects according to schedule quality and budget:

  • Collaborates with Project Scheduler team to craft the Integrated Master Schedule from Concept Design Tender Procure and Turnover of each project.
  • Monitors the Design production identifying potential roadblocks remove them to help meet the Design
    timeline.
  • Monitors closely the Tender Process checking each step to identify potential issues and concerns with the
    goal of initiating resolution for each in order not to hamper the schedule.
  • Manages construction from start to finish including turnover by overseeing all activities and players of each project attends the weekly PTG (onsite or offsite) conducts regular site walk throughs identifies issues and
    concerns other than those presented by ECM and CM Leads provides directions.
  • Leads the production of reports for management consumption that are done either through systems or through hard copies. Reports that include issues concerns and recommendations.
  • Initiates meeting with internal and external principals for issues and concerns affecting the critical path of the construction schedule.
  • Oversees the Closeout of Accounts by ensuring that each one is moving according to agreed TAT.

Assists the PM/CM Head in the development of CM Leads and in the formulation and improvement of policies and procedures:

  • Meets the CM Leads on a regular basis under him/her for discussion of projects issues in order to come up with resolutions and directions. Meets them also for mentoring training coaching. Etc.
  • Attends management meetings pertaining to review of performance process improvements and strategic planning.
  • Perform other tasks as may be directed by the PM/CM Head.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering or architecture
  • Licensed Civil Engineer or Architect
  • At least (10) ten years managing construction projects
  • Proficiency in the use of construction project management tools
  • Masters degree is an advantage
