Job Description

We are seeking a skilled IT Change Management Specialist with a robust background in ITIL processes and change management. The ideal candidate will have a National Diploma or Degree ITIL Foundation Certification and ITIL Practitioner Level Certification combined with at least 3 years of practical experience. Additionally the candidate should possess 8 years of handson experience in IT Change Management demonstrating proficiency in implementing ITIL processes and managing complex IT changes effectively.
Duties and responsibilities
  • Change Management: Oversee the entire change management process ensuring that changes to IT systems are implemented efficiently with minimal disruption to business operations.
  • ITIL Process Implementation: Apply ITIL best practices to manage and optimize change management processes including change initiation assessment approval implementation and review.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with various stakeholders including IT teams business units and vendors to ensure alignment and coordination of change activities.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of change management processes including change requests impact assessments and implementation plans. Generate regular reports on change management metrics and performance.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with changes and develop mitigation strategies to minimize negative impacts.
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and enhance change management processes and procedures to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on change management practices and ITIL processes.


Requirements

Qualifications and experience
National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
ITIL Foundation Certification and ITIL Practitioner Level Certification.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in IT Change Management including practical implementation of ITIL processes. A total of 8 years of handson experience in IT Change Management is required.
Skills:
Strong understanding of ITIL processes excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple change initiatives simultaneously.
ProblemSolving: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to address complex change management issues.
Leadership: Ability to lead and mentor junior staff and work collaboratively within crossfunctional teams.
Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and new challenges in a dynamic IT environment.
