Job Description
- Perform network evaluation planning provisioning and maintenance across Metropolitan Area Networks (MAN) Wide Area Networks (WAN) and Local Area Networks (LAN).
- Design and implement data telecommunications networks ensuring capacity planning and provisioning for systems supporting approximately 10000 users.
- Lead the design and implementation of internet protocol subnet masks including route summarization.
- Manage dynamic routing systems particularly OSPF and follow strict change management processes.
- Ensure the successful implementation of outside plant design cable and line installations and circuit designs.
Requirements
- Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF7) or relevant vendor certifications (Cisco Huawei Alcatel Nokia Juniper Extreme).
- 10 years of experience with at least 3 years in a postqualification role in network design and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of outside and inside plant design with expertise in circuit design.
- Proven ability to work independently supervise teams and ensure that network performance meets business and operational requirements.
- A valid driver s license and own transport are essential.
