Trade Compliance Manager
Position Summary
The position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with US and Mexican Customs regulations for the maquiladora operation in Chihuahua Chihuahua. This includes but is not limited to: HTS Classification Valuation Origin Management Annex 24 and Annex 30 control Fixed Assets controls Broker management as applicable transaction auditing recordkeeping policies and procedures and related training
Required Education / Experience / Skills
- Minimum 5 years of international trade and compliance experience.
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of US and MX customs regulations and other government agencies.
- Extensive experience with maquiladora regulations and compliance.
- Customs Broker License
- Conversational English
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of customs compliance issues related to Mexican maquiladora operations and Commercial Operations.
- Responsible for reviewing any law or regulation changes and their impact on the operation.
- Annex 24 compliance and follow up.
- Fixed Asset Management and Administration.
- Annex 30 compliance.
- Maintain CIVA and CTPAT/OAS certifications.
- Qualification of products according to USMCA/TMEC for exports.
- Maintain permanent database of all imported and exported material numbers with HTS classification and USMCA qualification.
- Implementation of KPI's and auditing of import and export declarations.
- Obtain special import permits as appropriate.
- Knowledge of US import and export declarations.
- Section 301 Tariff.
