Business Development Manager Middle East - Latham amp Watkins LLP

The Business Development (BD) Manager Middle East is an integral part of Lathams Business Development team. This role will be responsible for developing and executing business development strategies in concert with the Business Development Associate Director for a number of key practices markets industries and clients within the Middle East region while developing and executing together with regional and global leadership the overall strategic plans objectives programmes and budgets in support of office(s) region(s) sector(s) and/or client(s) as assigned. This role will be located in our Riyadh office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and inoffice presence.

• Developing and maintaining an indepth knowledge of regional expertise client mix matter experience regional industry and trade groups and local media practice and media trends
• Undertaking research and analysis to support the identification retention and/or development of clients prospective targets industries markets competition and conflicts and executing crossselling programmes
• Collaborating with regional and global colleagues to access and supplement local expertise ranging from Brand & Communications Events EMarketing and the New Business Team which leads the production of pitch books presentations and responses to requests for information (RFIs) and requests for proposals (RFPs)
• Leading the drafting of submissions for legal directories related industry guides and awards
• Collaborating with lawyers BD Events and the Brand & Communications teams on speaking opportunities thought leadership seminars webinars and other visibility initiatives

• Possess extensive knowledge of core marketing principles including internal communications public relations seminar and event planning branding market research competitive intelligence pitching and client development
• Display excellent leadership and project management skills (i.e. organising planning problemsolving and decisionmaking) necessary for effective management
• Exhibit welldeveloped and professional interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with people at all organisational levels of the firm

• A Bachelors degree or an equivalent in a related field
• Progressively responsible business development and marketing experience in a legal or professional services environment
• Supervisory and management experience
