Job Description

Communications  Maintaining a calendar of key dates for the department these will reflect internal and external significant events and anniversaries.  Support and maintain communications activity as appropriate  Work with the Communications and Recruitment & Partnership teams to complete all relevant reports and communication.  Engage in learning activities/conferences to understand and maintain awareness of any changes in the external and internal school environment.  Point of contact for communication for prospective students and the School. 2. Preparing electronic and print communications:  Developing and updating the Schools web pages  Developing and placing advertising where appropriate  Draft electronic staff/student newsletters for the School  Assemble contributions, and draft copy for, the Schools newsletter  Assist with the production of other communications as required. 3. Social Media  Maintaining a constant presence across key social media platform  Supporting key staff members in maintaining blogs and social media presence.  Research and analyse overseas social media platforms to optimise the Schools presence externally and engage with alumni. 4. Assist the External Relations coordinator within the School events, external stakeholders any appropriate activity that are for the interests of the School/ 5. Undertaking other tasks as determined by the External relations coordinator to support the Schools Alumni Relations Officer. 6. Manage, organise and complete external relations, marketing, and communications projects/assignments/tasks specifically for the School through full project life cycle.  Work with the Schools Communications team to complete projects effectively  Plan and organise the most efficient use of resources to complete a project  Report regularly to Communications coordinator  Initiate working/consultation groups for the purposes of project successful completion  Consult all stakeholders  Evaluate project outcome
