The Office of Labor Policy & Standards (OLPS) enforces the Citys worker protection laws including the Paid Safe and Sick Leave Law Fair Workweek scheduling laws that protect fast food and retail workers and Delivery Worker Laws that protect appbased restaurant delivery workers. In OLPS large citywide enforcement actions teams of attorneys data scientists and investigators work together to obtain compensation owed to workers and improve employer compliance. Other programs include the Freelance Isnt Free Act (FIFA) program which assists freelance workers who have experienced wage theft and other violations and our Paid Care Division which focuses on workplace issues specific to nannies housecleaners home health aides and other paid care workers. OLPS is seeking a Clerical Associate / Enforcement Support Associate with experience performing administrative and clerical work in a legal or government setting. The Enforcement Support Associate will provide general administrative support to OLPS operations. The candidate will be responsible for:
Printing and mailing documents
Handling and distributing mail
Tracking and ordering office supplies
Answering calls and emails from workers and assisting with intake
Performing data entry in agency case management databases and handling assignments to organize and correct data
Performing clerical and related administrative work as assigned
Assisting attorneys investigators and court navigators with clerical tasks related to their cases including by assisting with survey projects
Assisting with employee onboarding tasks such as preparing workspaces

Qualifications :
Qualification Requirements
A fouryear high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a States department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
Skills Requirement
Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes 20 words) per minute.
