Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to join our team in either Dallas TX or Tampa FL. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong technical background in application support incident resolution and system troubleshooting within financial services environments.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Verify analysis performed by team members and implement changes required to prevent reoccurrence of incidents.
- Resolve critical application alerts promptly including production defects and provide business impact assessments.
- Maintain and update knowledge articles and runbooks in collaboration with application development teams.
- Work with internal teams to provide solutions to application issues and escalate as required.
- Validate and submit responses to auditrelated requests.
- Review and implement Disaster Recovery scripts during planned and unplanned outages ensuring BCM evidence is provided as needed.
- Identify and implement automation solutions to reduce manual effort in application monitoring.
- Collaborate with development teams to provide input during application design and development stages.
- Implement preproduction/production application code deployment plans and manage the endtoend vendor application upgrade process.
- Align risk and control processes within daily responsibilities to mitigate risk effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
- Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency in key technologies such as:
- Java/J2EE
- Oracle/SQL
- IBM MQ
- SNOW/ITIL Process
- Splunk/Autosys
- Strong platform experience with:
- Preferred experience with:
- Containers (Kubernetes/Docker)
- IIB
- Network understanding
- Familiarity with Finance and Securities domain knowledge is advantageous.
