Job Description
AbbVie Westport have an opportunity for a Program Manager to join the team on a 12month fixed term contract.
Reporting to the PMO Site Operations Manager the Program Manager will provide technical support and program management to key operational & NPI projects throughout the site.
The Program Manager will apply best practice Program Management tools and methodologies to ensure programs are delivered on schedule and right firsttime ensuring consistency in the delivery of Program Management support across the site. Leads lessons learned activities to ensure continuous improvement of Program Management delivery. Leads crossfunctional matrix teams from across manufacturing engineering science and technology quality assurance purchasing and supply chain to execute the strategies for the development and supply of new and existing products.
The Program Manager will operate in an environment which is largely selfmanaged but with oversight from the PMO Site Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate activities timelines and resources requirements necessary for successful project execution.
Develop and maintain detailed program tracking tools and hold crossfunctional matrix team to account for delivery of project milestones
Supports crossfunctional teams in the execution of strategies for supply of development and clinical supply of new products.
Identify financial resource requirements for key programs.
Supports supplier selection technology transfers capital expansions regulatory filings and building of launch supplies.
Identification and project management of large continuous improvement projects.
Adheres to and supports all EHS standards procedures and policies.
Provide timely and accurate updates to Site PMO Manager Site Leadership Team and MEC management regarding project planning and execution.
No Direct Reports but will manage multiple cross functional resources as part of Program Manager position
Provides cross training and guidance on project management
Qualifications :
A Bachelors Degree or higher in a Relevant Discipline (Technical Qualification in Engineering Science Technology is a distinct advantage)
A formal qualification in Project Management would be advantageous but not essential
Extensive experience (6 years) in manufacturing supply chain management engineering and/or process/product development.
Experience in planning and executing projects.
Experience in leading crossfunctional teams.
Experience in influencing peers in other organizations and senior management.
