The position strives to achieve the successful implementation of strategic/transformational programs (such as Product Transfers from other AbbVie Sites of from External Parties) related to the Costa Rica Site leading and leveraging processes technologies capabilities and people.
The position has its reporting line to the Dir Tech Center in close coordination and collaboration with all Site Departments and Key Corporate Functions per the programs/ projects needs.
The position provides strategic direction to its direct reports and to its programs/ projects teams.
- Manage and coordinate various stakeholders and disciplines to ensure support and successful execution of the assigned transformational program(s). Implement appropriate governance monitor progress manage risks/challenges and if required drive escalation. Coordinate and execute with HR an appropriate Change Management strategy.
- Define & align the scope requirements deployment and timeline for the assigned transformational program(s). Plan and control the program(s) budget while working closely with Finance to ensure spending is in line with expectations.
- Establish & lead crossfunctional workstreams within the assigned program(s) with strong emphasis on facilities equipment assembly and inspection methods training SAP readiness supply of raw materials and components.
- Lead manage and motivate the program(s) team to achieve the defined objectives. Manage the direct reports workload and their performance in execution of projects. Provide them technical and leadership guidance in the delivery of their objectives.
- Proactively anticipate and remove barriers/bottlenecks while timely communicating risks and issues to stakeholders.
- Responsible for compliance with applicable policies and procedures. Ensure quality and effectiveness of key results of major programs/ projects within function through sound design early risk assessments and implementation of fallback strategies. Have full awareness of the potential consequences (defects and failure modes) of design changes to established products/ processes.
- Support product development and product improvement in the areas of: design verification design validation risk management test method validation process validation process control supplier qualification complaint investigations CAPA investigations and process improvement.
- Integrate crossdisciplinary teams to design and/or lead complex experiments often with multiple variables. Perform detailed analysis and conceptualize solutions. Integrate regulatory and operational needs assesses cost benefit to determine solutions.
- Prepare applicable program/ project(s) documentation per the requirements of the Quality System.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Electrical Electromechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
- Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other regulatory and safety compliance requirements and guidelines.
- Minimum 7 years of engineering work experience preferably in electromechanical medical device development and manufacturing environment.
- Device manufacturing process design and scaleup including equipment testing assembly operations and support systems.
- Equipment/fixturing and process validation.
- Proficient in English B2 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
Prefered
- Comprehensive project management experience with track record of several successfully completed crossfunctional strategic projects.
- Design Control Process (ISO 13485 and FDA QSR 820).Microsoft applications (Word PowerPoint Excel Teams Project).
