About The Role
Job Summary:
The Director of Strategic Sales and Regional Partnerships will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and expanding the company s market presence across Nigeria. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in sales and business development capable of forging and managing highvalue partnerships with multinational Big Pharma local pharmaceutical manufacturers mega distributors medical professional trade associations market associations and other key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in scaling sales through doortodoor sales trade associations bulk channels and strategic alliances as well as strong leadership and management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth and market expansion through doortodoor sales trade associations bulk channels and strategic alliances. Must be able to grow sales 2x and get to at least 1.5B NGN in monthly sales within by Dec. 2025.Must deliver at least 500M NGN/month in personal sales/manufacturer credit aside from the rest of the team in this period.
- Partnership Development: Identify negotiate and secure highvalue partnerships with multinational Big Pharma pharma manufacturers mega distributors medical professional trade associations market associations and other strategic partners.
- Regional Sales Strategy: Develop and implement regional sales strategies and plans. Lead and manage a team of sales representatives and sales agents across Lagos SW MW East South and North regions of Nigeria.
- Market Expansion: Unlock new sales channels and customer acquisition strategies to accelerate growth and expand the company s market presence across Nigeria.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a highperforming sales team providing mentorship guidance and support to achieve sales targets and strategic objectives.
- Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners ensuring high levels of satisfaction and longterm collaboration.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies that align with the company s business goals leveraging market insights and industry trends.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sales strategies and partnerships adjusting plans as needed to ensure success.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO senior management team and other departments to align sales efforts with the company s strategic goals.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify opportunities challenges and competitive landscape providing actionable insights to drive decisionmaking.
- Account Management: Manage and grow existing accounts and ensure achievement of regional sales goals.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Track and report on sales performance forecast and budget for sales.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Marketing Sales or a related field. A master s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sales business development or partnerships preferably within the pharmaceutical or FMCG sectors. At least 5 years of experience as Regional Sales Lead in the Western/Lagos region of Nigeria for a leading indigenous pharma or trade company.
