Job Description

Job Title: Senior Sales Engineer OCTG

Functional Area: OCTG

Job Location: Primarily at the Lekki Free Zone. Candidates must be willing to spend time prospecting in the Lekki Free Zone axis.

Reports To: GM BD & SC

Responsible For: Business Development

About Client: Our client is a leading oil services company with an experienced unprecedented growth in the Nigeria oil industry. Consistently finding and developing worldclass assets. Our client is a local company with international standard.

Overall Purpose of Job:

Indepth knowledge of our OCTG products and services to provide solutions to clients in the IOCs EPC Companies and Refineries.

Responsibilities:

  • Indepth understanding and handson application of OCTG products and services.
  • Identify application areas on client sites and make appropriate proposal on the benefits and usage of the products and services.
  • Identify and recommend as most appropriate technical assistance for key customers
  • Prospect for and acquire new and financially viable highvolume customers
  • Prepare and make effective product and services presentations to clients.
  • Gather new intelligence for the preparation of reports tenders and presentations that will win the company contracts in ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Define strategy for relating with each customer group and create a Customer Relationship Plan per group
  • Collate client specific intelligence and produce weekly reports.
  • Generate Work orders Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Purchase Orders (PO)
  • Effectively manage each customer account to ensure sales targets are fully achieved
  • Collate and communicate business intelligence
  • Ensure full payment for all supplies and services
  • Reconcile customers accounts and ensure proper documentation
  • Demonstrate consistent business development success and target driven achievement
  • Provide regular updates on plans and progress


Requirements

  • A good University Engineering Degree preferably mechanical.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience
  • Intelligence gathering skills
  • Experience in and/or prospecting in the nonoil and gas sector (general industries) is desirable.
  • Good working knowledge of the Nigerian Oil Industry.
  • Proven ability to advise clients
  • Proven track record of winning businesses.
  • Proven account management experience.
  • A selfmotivator
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Very good presentation skills
  • Proven experience of working with minimum supervision
  • Product knowledge and effective application.
  • Deliver against agreed Sales Targets.
