Job Description:
The Chief of Staff will serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and play a key leadership role in driving the company s growth and operational success. This position is pivotal in aligning crossfunctional initiatives with the company s strategic vision ensuring seamless execution and fostering collaboration across teams. This position requires a highly organized and driven individual who can support the organization in achieving the lofty goals for 2025 while also shaping the future of digital banking in the space at large.

Your daily adventures include:
  • Support strategic planning and execution: Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop implement and monitor strategic initiatives. Conduct market research analyse industry trends and assess internal capabilities to ensure datadriven forwardthinking decisions aligned with the company s vision.
  • Translate strategy into action: Work with department heads to establish clear roadmaps key performance indicators (OKRs) and timelines.
  • Ensure accountability and track progress to meet company objectives with precision and transparency.
  • Monitor and report on strategic initiatives: Use project management tools to track milestones assess risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide regular progress updates to the CEO and leadership to maintain momentum and drive results.
  • Drive operational efficiency: Identify and implement process improvements by analysing workflows addressing bottlenecks and recommending best practices.
  • Enhance productivity and costeffectiveness through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee executive office operations: Ensure smooth workflow and communication by managing administrative tasks coordinating meetings and streamlining documentation processes allowing leadership to focus on strategic priorities.
  • Manage executive priorities and deliverables: Align schedules prioritise tasks and ensure the CEO and leadership team are wellprepared for key engagements to optimise productivity and strategic focus.
  • Develop and deliver highimpact communications: Prepare reports presentations and executive communications by synthesising information from various sources ensuring clarity and effectiveness for both internal and external audiences.
  • Facilitate crossfunctional collaboration: Organise and lead meetings promote transparency and foster teamwork across departments to align efforts with strategic initiatives and ensure smooth execution.
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships: Engage with internal and external stakeholders ensuring their needs and interests are incorporated into strategic planning while fostering trust and alignment.
  • Represent the CEO and leadership team: Act as a trusted representative in meetings negotiations and key engagements effectively communicating the company s vision and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure stakeholder alignment and engagement: Develop communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed and engaged gather feedback and promote collaboration to support the company s mission.


Requirements

What it takes to succeed:

  • Bachelor s degree in commerce Finance Business Administration or other related field.
  • 8 year s experience in operations or consulting.
  • Experience working with thirdparty tools Freshdesk Intercom Zapier Notion etc.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and GSuite.
  • Experience working in African markets is strongly preferred.
  • Strong preference for experience in the fintech space and specifically in digital banking/lending products.
  • Understanding and experience in the Mobile Money Ecosystem in East Africa


What it takes to succeed: Experience in B2B selling of a tech service or SaaS product into the large business market. A prospective solid network of potential clients as well as reselling partners Experience in rapidly structuring and scaling a sales organisation in multiple locations, scale-up/start-up experience, would be advantageous Demonstrated Sales management experience, including hiring, developing and driving accountability. Proven ability to manage sales teams from different cultures in diverse countries. Experience with fast-paced scale-up environments thrives on the challenge of getting things done quickly and delivering results.
