Job Description
Responsibilities
- Assist in development and implementation of company net zero road map sustainability strategy linked to UNSGD Sustainable Development Goals and 2030 Emission Target.
- Collaborate with various departments to identify opportunities for improving sustainability performance and reducing environmental impact from decentralized approach to a more structured approach.
- Lead the implementation of sustainability management through performance tracking monitoring verification of data and reporting.
- Lead sustainability programs and initiatives to improve awareness and knowledge on various aspects of sustainability enhance the Companys visibility and achieve industry recognition through awards.
- Focal person in ensuring that the sustainability programs and initiatives are aligned and in compliance with company Corporate Sustainability Policy and practice Local States and Federal Environmental Regulations and Standards.
- Collect and analyze data for sustainability reporting and other stakeholder communication.
- Measuring and reporting accurate records of sustainability metrics and ensure transparency in reporting.
- Design and implement awareness and education program for employees.
- Promote awareness understanding and engagement amongst employees on sustainability issues and company initiatives through training workshops and communications.
- Monitor emerging trends and regulations to ensure proactive risk management.
- Assess and identify risk and develop mitigation strategies.
- Research and recommend innovative sustainability solutions and best practices.
- Benchmark Companys sustainability performance against industry standards.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders including PETRONAS JV Partners Regulatory bodies Communities and Employees.
Requirement
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Sustainability Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in sustainability environmental management or a related field preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- Understanding of environmental regulations sustainability reporting frameworks and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and sustainability softwares.
- Experience in developing carbon reduction roadmaps and identification of Scope 1 Scope 2 and Scope 3 emission
- Experience in planning and strategy in O&G is an added advantage
- Passionate about climate change energy transition and GHG emission reduction.
