We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Faculty Member in Pathology to teach and mentor medical students engage in highquality research and contribute to the continuous improvement of our medical curriculum. The successful candidate will have a solid background in general pathology clinical pathology and its clinical applications and will play a key role in integrating pathology education with medical practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Curriculum Development:
- Deliver lectures seminars and practical sessions in pathology including topics such as histopathology molecular pathology clinical pathology and diagnostic techniques.
- Develop update and enhance curriculum content in pathology to reflect the latest scientific research and clinical practice.
- Supervise students in laboratory settings ensuring practical skills are developed in histology pathology techniques and diagnostic practices.
- Assess student performance through exams practical assessments and other evaluation methods and provide timely constructive feedback.
Research:
- Lead independent and collaborative research projects in pathology focusing on areas such as cancer pathology molecular diagnostics infectious diseases or pathology education.
- Publish research findings in reputable peerreviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
- Mentor graduate students medical residents and research fellows in their research endeavors fostering a strong foundation in scientific inquiry and critical analysis.
Clinical Integration:
- Collaborate with clinical departments to integrate pathology knowledge with clinical practice helping students understand the role of pathology in diagnosis and treatment.
- Participate in interdisciplinary teaching and clinical rounds supporting the integration of pathology in the context of patient care including case discussions and diagnostic decisionmaking.
Student Mentorship & Advising:
- Provide academic and career advising to medical students guiding them in their studies and career paths in pathology or related medical fields.
- Support students involvement in research projects helping to develop their research skills and scientific thinking.
Professional Development & Service:
- Participate in institutional committees and contribute to curriculum development and academic leadership.
- Engage in ongoing professional development by attending conferences workshops and seminars to stay current with the latest advancements in pathology medical education and clinical practices.
