The Clinical Instructor will be responsible for delivering educational content and providing clinical assistance across various medical courses. This position offers the opportunity to engage in developing and implementing curricula as well as mentoring and guiding students in their clinical education. The Clinical Instructor will ensure a high standard of teaching and student engagement while contributing to the overall development of the Medicine Program.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Curriculum Development:
- Prepare and deliver teaching materials and administer assessments to ensure that students acquire the necessary practical skills and knowledge.
- Teach a variety of courses including new courses at different levels transferring knowledge to students using practical methods and techniques.
- Develop and oversee the design and development of curricula ensuring alignment with educational standards and the institutions goals.
- Ensure teaching contents methods and delivery are consistent with course specifications.
Student Engagement & Guidance:
- Provide feedback guidance and mentorship to students on their academic progress supporting them through both theory and practical learning experiences.
- Supervise student projects field trips and when appropriate placements at the undergraduate level.
- Set mark and assess assignments and exams providing detailed feedback to students once results are reviewed and approved.
Quality Assurance & Professional Development:
- Develop and implement quality assurance frameworks in line with the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) of Saudi Arabia and the institution s quality standards.
- Keep uptodate with developments in the field fostering critical thinking and encouraging students to engage in intellectual debate and rational discourse.
Administrative & Staff Support:
- Address any issues related to staff and student needs ensuring smooth communication and the effective running of the program.
- Handle administrative duties efficiently and effectively to support the operation of the Medicine Program.
Requirements
Education:
- A Bachelor s Degree in Medicine & Surgery (MBBS) from a reputable university.
Experience:
- Teaching and clinical experience in both postgraduate and undergraduate medical education.
- Experience in handling administrative duties effectively within an academic environment.
Skills:
- Ability to develop and implement teaching designs and provide mentorship.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using computers dashboards and other computing devices for educational purposes.
