We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Faculty Member in Biochemistry to teach and mentor students engage in highquality research and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the medical curriculum. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in biochemistry molecular biology and clinical biochemistry and will play a key role in integrating biochemistry with medical education and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Curriculum Development:
- Deliver highquality lectures seminars and practical sessions on biochemistry molecular biology and related subjects to undergraduate and graduate medical students.
- Develop and update course content to reflect the latest advances in biochemistry and its clinical applications.
- Supervise and mentor students during laboratory and research activities fostering a solid understanding of biochemical concepts in medical contexts.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to guide their academic development.
Research:
- Lead independent and collaborative research projects in biochemistry molecular biology and clinical applications.
- Publish research findings in peerreviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
- Supervise and mentor graduate students medical residents and research fellows in their research endeavors.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
- Collaborate with clinical departments to integrate biochemistry concepts with clinical practice enhancing students understanding of biochemistry in the context of disease and treatment.
- Engage in interdisciplinary teaching contributing to integrated medical courses and clinical education.
Student Mentorship & Advising:
- Provide academic and career advising to medical students guiding them through their studies and future professional development.
- Support students in their research projects encouraging critical thinking problemsolving and scientific inquiry.
Professional Development & Service:
- Participate in institutional committees faculty meetings and academic initiatives to continually enhance the medical curriculum.
- Engage in ongoing professional development by attending academic conferences and staying current with the latest research and trends in biochemistry and medical education.
Requirements
Education: PhD in Biochemistry Molecular Biology or a closely related field.
Experience: Proven teaching experience in biochemistry or related subjects particularly in a medical or healthcare education setting.
- Strong research background with a record of publications in peerreviewed journals.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex biochemistry concepts to medical students.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary academic team.
