PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To maintain the distribution procedure this will enable the right sizes with the right quantity at the right stores.
- To ensure proper planning and setting of standards to achieve maximum sale with a minimum stock with a benchmark of maximum 15 weeks season end chain stock.
- To ensure the backup stock in the warehouse for regular articles is adequate to allow for continuous supply with a benchmark of three to four weeks stock cover.
- To ensure store article level seasonal planning and coordinate with merchandising with regard of the requirement.
- To maintain a continuous flow of merchandising information to and from the stores and most importantly to the warehouse.
- To manage replenishment by route plan and follow up dispatches with Warehouse
- To plan for regrouping of stores to stores
- Monitor and follow up on the efficiency of merchandise movement (Regrouping) or warehouse to store.
- Recall goods from stores to warehouse (when needed)
- To review merchandising reports and sales statistics (S.I.R. Store Report etc.) and take merchandising action such as : Ship additional supply to stores either by statement supply; special order or prepack. Advise revision of assortment according to requirement. Transfer goods from store to store as per business requirement; within geographical cluster. Monitor and followup with the efficiency of merchandise movement from the warehouse to the stores
- To ensure that stock levels are in accordance to sales volume and the store stockroom capacity.
- To control target cover weeks at chain level as per company guideline of season end store stock of 15 weeks.
- To ensure target stock margins inorder to enable the store to achieve the desired sales margin.
- To ensure that end of life lines or seasonal items at central warehouse are distributed to the store during peak periods.
- To ensure that ends of life lines are regrouped to performing stores.
- To ensure all merchandise picked are sent to the stores on time.
- To review and update every season the segmentation of store with Retail
- To work closely with Operation team on stocks capacity and line capacity in store
- To plan and allocate for stocks during store opening/closing/renovation
General
- To study store stock on a regular basis.
- To study on size assortment sales vs stocks
- To Managing Bulk orders in coordination with retail as well as merchandising
- To visit the stores periodically and warehouse.
- To study and analyze market conditions economic trends and competition.
- To continuously follow and monitor stores sales stock margin stock TALY and stock cover weeks.
- To provide feedback to buyers on the performance of new articles.
- To maintain and follow the route plan and make changes for closed and new stores from time to time.
Inventory Balancing
- Carry out minimum 2 regrouping exercises per annum with at least 40% adherence rate
- Ensure that the aged stock in RDC is <1% by pair for inventory with >6 months aging
- Ensure >90% Full assortment availability in NOOS & Best Sellers
AUTHORITY
- To approve initial stock standards and modify standards.
- To arrange merchandise transfers as per requirements.
- To make changes or additions to delivery schedules according to special requirements.
- To initiate and pursue action on slow moving items.
- To initiate repeat orders together with merchandising manager
STANDARD OF PERFORMANCE
- To ensure stock levels are in accordance with sales volume.
- To ensure that end of lines of seasonal items at central warehouse are distributed to the store during peaks periods.
- To ensure that broken lines are regrouped to performing stores.
