JOB PURPOSE: The Senior Human Resource Officer will manage both strategic planning responsibilities and administrative tasks in every area of HR including recruiting compensation and benefits performance management reward and recognition employee experience & wellness and employee training & development.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist in the implementation of HR strategy and provide updated reports on the same
2. Monitor the HR expense account and advice monthly on account performance while providing cost control recommendations
3. Develop and maintain HR partnerships for Training and Development Consultancy and Business Development opportunities
4. Assist the Hiring managers with the recruitment process and coordinate the HR team to facilitate timely recruitment
5. Oversee the Internship program
6. Assist with the employee separation process
7. Support in the implementation and monitoring of organizational design changes and other significant changes within the organization
8. Ensure staff take leave in accordance with policy and sensitize them on the importance of planning and actually taking leave
9. Assist in the tracking of employee productivity through SOMIS
10. Provide the HR ERP system administration and act as the liaison between Smart and Provider for upgrades and any proposed changes
11. Assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives that provide for exceptional employee experience and engagement as well as provide strategies to motivate employees
12. Coordinate employee wellness initiatives medical fund and Group life as well as provide guidance on the management of staff welfare fund
13. Payroll administration
14. Assist in the continuous improvement and administration of the Reward and Recognition program
15. Participate in developing organizational policies guidelines and procedures.
16. Assist in the management of the disciplinary process
17. Coordinate employee performance management and development plans
18. Coordinate the Coaching and mentorship program for staff
19. Engage staff in the learning and development (Udemy and Connector sessions)
20. Coordinate employee surveys and implement outcomes
21. Organize the staff medical checks
22. Conduct background checks and establish suitability
23. Manage the organization s employee database and prepare reports
24. Produce and submit reports on general HR activities and functions on a monthly basis or as may be required
25. Keep uptodate with the latest HR trends and best practices.
26. Provide Country support on all HR functions
Requirements
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related
Post Graduate HR Qualifications
5 years of experience as an HR Officer
Deep understanding of Labor Laws
Efficient HR administration and people management skills.

Excellent knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
