Our client is the foremost commercial bank in Nigeria. Due to expansion they are seeking a Head of Assets & Liabilities Management to oversee and optimize the banks financial position.

Job Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement the bank s assets and liabilities management strategies to optimize financial performance and risk profile.
- Oversee liquidity management processes ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Analyze and manage interest rate risks associated with the banks balance sheet implementing hedging strategies as necessary.
- Monitor and assess the bank s balance sheet composition recommending actions to enhance profitability and reduce risk.
- Prepare and present reports on ALM activities risks and performance metrics to senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Work closely with Treasury Risk Management and Finance departments to ensure cohesive ALM practices across the organization.
- Develop and update ALM policies and procedures to ensure best practices are followed in line with regulatory expectations.
- Lead and mentor the ALM team promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Finance Economics or a relevant field; Master s degree or professional certifications (e.g. CFA FRM) preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in assets and liabilities management within the banking or financial services industry with a significant portion in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of financial instruments risk management techniques and regulatory requirements related to ALM.
- Proven analytical skills and experience with financial modeling and quantitative analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Strong leadership abilities with a track record of developing and managing highperforming teams.
Minimum of 8+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the banking sector
Education
Degree in business or relevant field, professional certification preferred.
