About the Role
Based in BYDs Sydney Melbourne or Brisbane this role will support our Procurement team foran upcoming new brand.On offer is a Purchasing Specialist position and your daytoday duties will include but not be limited to:
- Identify evaluate and establish relationships with suppliers to ensure the procurement of highquality materials and services at the best prices.
- Negotiate contracts terms and pricing with suppliers to secure optimal agreements for the company.
- Research and source products materials and services that meet the companys quality standards and cost requirements.
- Issue purchase orders and follow through on the procurement process to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers including pricing delivery schedules and service level agreements.
- Ensure that all agreements are legally compliant and aligned with the companys policies and goals.
- Analyze market trends and supplier pricing to identify costsaving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Implement costreduction strategies such as bulk purchasing supplier consolidation or longterm contracts.
- Conduct regular evaluations of supplier performance including quality reliability and delivery.
- Perform vendor audits to ensure compliance with company standards regulatory requirements and ethical practices.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities including contracts purchase orders invoices and supplier communications.
- Ensure compliance with company policies ethical standards and legal requirements in all procurement processes.
- Work closely with other departments including production finance and quality control to ensure that procurement activities align with the companys objectives.
- Address any issues related to quality delivery or cost with the appropriate internal teams and suppliers.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities including cost savings supplier performance and market conditions.
- Analyze procurement data to provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.
Key requirements:
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management and sourcing practices and processes
- Excellent negotiation influencing and analytical skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and Divisions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and adapt to changing market conditions
