About the Role

Based in BYDs Sydney office in Macquarie Park this role will support our upcoming New Brand.On offer is a Technical Specialistposition and your daytoday duties will include but not be limited to:

Gain a comprehensive understanding of new energy vehicles (NEV) delivering product training to the Australasian market.
Collaborate with BYD China to develop vehicles tailored for the RHD Australasian market overseeing vehicle testing and providing detailed analysis reports.
Assist the local BYD distributors in rolling out of new models offering technical commercial and regulatory support for product localization and market launch.
Support the engineer teams for the rollout of software updates contributing to the development of BYD invehicle digital experience.
Manage the importation and testing of preproduction vehicles working closely with BYD China to develop testing plans and vehicle requirements for the Australasian market.

Key requirements:

Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical or related field).

3 years experience in the Automotive Industry or a related field.

Strong problemsolving communication and collaboration skills coupled with effective public speaking abilities.
