Our client is a leading social selling company who is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm.
Legal Team Leadership and Operations:
- Stay informed of any changes in legislation and ensure they are communicated and implemented within the company.
- Advise and guide the Board of Directors on possible legal risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Develop implement and enforce internal policies and procedures.
- Draft and review contracts agreements and legal templates used by the company.
- Manage the process for obtaining and renewing business licenses.
- Oversee all legal processes tied to business operations including corporate governance compliance and regulatory matters.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Prepare legal opinions and advice regarding internal company documents and projects.
- Assist in the resolution of legal disputes complaints and claims involving the company.
- Undertake any additional duties or responsibilities that the Board of Directors may assign.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years working in a legal capacity either in law firms or within corporate legal departments ideally within an international corporate setting.
- Previous involvement in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) with handson experience in advising or managing M&A transactions.
- Expertise in Personal Income Tax (PIT) and Corporate Income Tax (CIT) matters with a proven ability to provide comprehensive advice on these topics.
- A university degree in Law is required with a focus on corporate and investment regulations including working with international partners.
- A valid lawyers certification demonstrating the ability to provide professional legal guidance and handle complex legal challenges.
- Experience in corporate legal matters across various Southeast Asian markets particularly Vietnam Indonesia the Philippines and Thailand is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in English is essential covering reading writing speaking and listening.
- Proficient in MS Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Able to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Vietnamese.
- Demonstrates a hardworking proactive approach with a logical and dynamic mindset.
