Our client is a leading global education organization in Vietnam who is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm.
- Financial Oversight & Profitability: Oversee the financial health of the Vietnam operations focusing on optimizing cash flows addressing areas with low returns and ensuring the business grows sustainably while maintaining profitability.
- Expansion Strategy & Hub Development: Spearhead the expansion of physical retail hubs in Vietnam by leveraging your background in both EdTech and retail providing the team with a strategic advantage in scaling up operations.
- Strategic ProblemSolving: Collaborate with the founder and senior leadership in a structured topdown approach to solve key business challenges. Ensure thorough and strategic communication with the CEO and Board.
- Market Knowledge: Gain a deep understanding of the local education landscape identifying key marketing strategies and cultural insights that will drive the business forward.
- CustomerCentric Approach: Ensure that customer satisfaction and student success are central to business strategies aligning these with financial goals.
- Team Leadership & Integration: Manage and integrate the existing team effectively minimizing disruption while strengthening team dynamics. Lead strategic hiring efforts to further develop the team.
- CrossDepartmental Coordination: Facilitate smooth collaboration between key departments such as marketing operations finance and product to ensure strategic alignment and efficiency.
- Financial Reporting & Planning: Lead budgeting financial forecasting and reporting to stakeholders ensuring clarity and transparency in financial management.
- Cultural Awareness & Team Management: Lead with cultural sensitivity fostering teamwork and creating a cohesive motivated team. Cultivate a strong company culture to drive engagement and loyalty.
- Travel Flexibility: Be available to travel to India once or twice per quarter for leadership meetings and global team alignment.
Requirements
- Proven track record in leadership roles within EdTech and retail with experience scaling operations and managing PnL.
- Strong background in consulting capable of working closely with senior leadership to systematically solve business issues.
- Deep understanding of financial management including cash flow optimization and profitability enhancement.
- Experience managing and integrating legacy teams with solid teambuilding and people management skills.
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills for working with international teams. Vietnamese language proficiency is a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
- Demonstrated ability to drive significant business growth and expand physical hubs.
- Focused on financial discipline team leadership and customer satisfaction.
