Job Description

Profile: Junior Solar Consultant (B2C)

Experience: 01 to 02 years

Department: Sales and Consulting

Reports to: Senior Solar Consultant/Sales Manager

Roles Review: the Jr Solar Consultant is responsible for supporting the sales and consulting process by managing daily tasks engaging with potential customers and ensuring smooth communication throughout the sales funnel. This role involves consistent coordination with the senior sales team and customers using our CRM system for tracking and reporting. The ideal candidate should be organised proactive and process strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client consultation:

Initial interaction: Introduce solar energy benefits to potential clients over the phone.

Needs assessment: Identify client energy requirements and expectations during the call.

Information sharing: Provide detailed explanations about solar solutions including environmental and financial benefits.

Client queries: address client questions and concerns accurately and promptly.

2. Site assessments:

Preliminary evaluation: Conduct on site visits to evaluate roof and property conditions.

Data collection: gather energy uses data and access site feasibility for solar installation.

Site suitability: document and report on the sites potential for solar panel installation

3. Proposal development:

Custom proposal creation: assist in developing personalised solar system proposals.

Presentation: Clearly explain proposal details to clients including costs savings and potential ROI.

Feedback integration: Work with senior consultants to refine proposals based on client feedback.

4. Sales support:

Lead follow up: Contact leads from marketing campaigns and other sources to gauge interest.

Appointment scheduling: Book appointments for site assessments and detailed consultations

Client relationship management: Maintain regular communication with clients to build trust and encourage referrals.

Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule site visits client meetings and follow up calls.

5. Market research:

Industry trends: keep up to date with the latest trends in solar energy and renewable technologies

Competitor analysis: Monitor competitor offerings to ensure competitive pricing and service.

Regulatory knowledge: Stay informed about local solar regulations and incentives.

6. Documentation and reporting:

Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of all client interactions proposals and contracts.

Report generation: create weekly and monthly sales activity reports including client feedback and market analysis.

7. Training and development:

Skill enhancement: participate in training sessions on solar technology sales strategies and customer service.

Mentorship: Seek feedback from senior consultants to continuously improve performance.

8. Additional responsibilities:

Travel: Be prepared for local travel to client sites and meetings.

Communication: Maintain professional communication with clients team members and stakeholders.

Qualification:

Strong organisation and communication skills.

Proficiency in CRM software and MS office suite.

Experience or a strong interest in the solar energy industry is preferred.

Knowledge of renewable energy systems and sales processes.

Ability to work independently at collaboratively within a team.

Bachelors degree in Engineering Business renewable energy or a related field.
