Primary Responsibility:
The Commercial Manager will spearhead business development efforts from lead generation and nurturing to closing sales. They will be responsible for identifying new client opportunities fostering strong client relationships and managing the full sales process for staffing HR consultancy and manpower management services especially within the Energies sector. The ideal candidate should have experience selling these services to multinational clients and possess excellent language ss including fluency in English and either French or Mandarin.
Reporting Lines:
- The Commercial Manager reports directly to the Head of the Business Unit with a dotted reporting line to the WRS Global Business Development Manager. This includes direct communication and accountability to the Business Unit Head with periodic updates and strategic guidance from the WRS Global Business Development Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full business development cycle including lead generation nurturing prospects and closing deals.
- Develop and execute strategies for lead generation and conversion including monitoring lead success rates.

- Manage pricing and commercial arrangements to ensure profitable business transactions.
- Ensure internal alignment for customer proposals and pricing requirements collaborating with key stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Lead in resolving commercial issues and challenges that arise during business operations.
- Prepare and submit RFQs RFPs EOIs and other customer requests to secure new business opportunities.
- Perform any other duties igned by line management to support overall business objectives.
Requirements
Required Experience and Competencies:
- A Bachelors degree in marketing business administration (with a focus on marketing) or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B sales preferably in dynamic business environments with a focus on long and short sales cycles.
- Strong knowledge of local and international business environments.
- Proven experience in selling HR consultancy staffing and manpower management services particularly to multinational clients is an added advantage.
- Deep understanding of the Energies sector with a focus on Uganda.
- Exceptional negotiation ss and experience in clientfacing roles and business development.
- Fluency in English with proficiency in either French or Mandarin being a significant advantage.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams to optimize service delivery and client satisfaction.
