With ambitious growth objectives they are seeking a Junior Compliance Officer to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting due diligence on new and existing customers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring transactions and activities for suspicious behavior and potential money laundering activities.
- Investigating and analyzing unusual patterns or discrepancies in financial transactions.
- Collaborating with internal teams to implement and enhance AML policies and procedures.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to AML compliance efforts.
- Staying abreast of regulatory developments and industry best practices in AML and counterterrorism financing (CTF).
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in finance accounting business administration or a related field.
- Prior experience in AML compliance within the financial services industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to AML including FINTRAC regulations.
- Registered in AUSTRAC (Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and anomalies in financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Detailoriented with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
