As Junior Sous Chef you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Executive Sous Chef and Executive Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen. You will contribute to menu development ensure the highest standards of food preparation and presentation and inspire the team to excel in delivering exceptional dishes.
What you will be doing:
- Curating exquisite seasonal menus tailored to a luxury dining experience while meticulously estimating food and labor costs and sourcing premium ingredients
- Crafting and expertly preparing gourmet dishes with precision artistry and the finest techniques
- Ensuring impeccable quality control of dishes throughout every stage of preparation plating and presentation
- Showcasing advanced culinary techniques and guiding the team with expert advice on sophisticated cooking methods
- Overseeing seamless kitchen operations to maintain the highest standards of efficiency and excellence
- Upholding and enforcing exemplary workplace health safety and hygiene practices in line with 5star luxury standards.
Qualifications :
You will excel in this role if you have:
- Trade qualification in Kitchen Management or Commercial Cookery
- At least two years experience as a qualified Chef
- Ability to lead motivate manage and develop others
- Immaculate personal presentation and hygiene
- High level of food safety standards and experience managing a HACCP certified kitchen
- Strong capabilities in menu design and food costing
- Flexibility to work as required across multiple kitchens
- The ability to handle pressure multi task and get the job done
- Fluency in English and good communication skills.
