Job Description
- Create detailed mechanical drawings including assembly drawings part drawings and layouts using SolidWorks CAD software.
- Develop and update material takeoffs and bill of materials (BOM) for mechanical components and assemblies.
- Generate installation drawings and documentation for mechanical systems and equipment.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to interpret design specifications and translate them into accurate technical drawings.
- Ensure drawings comply with industry standards specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to optimize designs for manufacturability and functionality.
- Assist in resolving technical issues related to drawings during the production or installation phase.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation for version control and audit purposes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role focusing on mechanical drafting and design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in creating technical drawings.
- Ability to interpret and translate complex design specifications into accurate drawings.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
- Flexibility to work both independently and collaboratively with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
