Mechanical Drafter

• Create detailed mechanical drawings including assembly drawings part drawings and layouts using SolidWorks CAD software.
  
• Develop and update material takeoffs and bill of materials (BOM) for mechanical components and assemblies.
  
• Generate installation drawings and documentation for mechanical systems and equipment.
  
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to interpret design specifications and translate them into accurate technical drawings.
  
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards specifications and regulatory requirements.
  
• Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to optimize designs for manufacturability and functionality.
  
• Assist in resolving technical issues related to drawings during the production or installation phase.
  
• Maintain organized project files and documentation for version control and audit purposes.
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role focusing on mechanical drafting and design.
  
• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software is essential.
  
• Strong attention to detail and precision in creating technical drawings.
  
• Ability to interpret and translate complex design specifications into accurate drawings.
  
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
