2nd Shift - Grinder - 20 to 23

Job Summary:

The company a global leader in aerospace manufacturing is seeking a skilled Grinder to join our team in Gardena CA. The Grinder will be responsible for operating grinding machines to remove excess material deburr and finish metal parts to meet production specifications. This position requires a high degree of precision mechanical skills and attention to detail in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate various grinding machines (surface cylindrical or centerless) to remove excess material smooth surfaces and achieve precise dimensions on metal parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and work orders to determine grinding operations and specifications.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measurement tools such as micrometers calipers and gauges to ensure they meet tolerances and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on grinding machines such as cleaning lubricating and replacing worn parts to maintain optimal performance.
• Adjust machine settings as necessary to optimize grinding speed pressure and angle for each job.
• Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations from specifications making adjustments as needed.
• Deburr and finish metal parts using hand tools or other equipment as necessary.
• Collaborate with quality control and production teams to ensure that parts meet customer and company specifications.
• Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to all housekeeping and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in grinding metalworking or a related manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient in using precision measurement tools like micrometers calipers and gauges.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with tight tolerances and maintain highquality standards.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects stand for long periods and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Commitment to safety and quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in aerospace or precision manufacturing industries.
• Familiarity with different grinding machines (surface cylindrical or centerless).
• Forklift certification or experience with material handling equipment is a plus.

Work Environment:
