  Our company established on March 11 2022 by multiple publishing houses and trading companies focuses on two main businesses: AI publishing and distribution optimization solutions and RFID solutions. We aim to enhance and utilize data in the publishing industry through these endeavors.

  We will leverage digital transformation (DX) to address structural challenges within the publishing industry from innovative perspectives.

  The publishing industry faces several structural challenges that urgently need improvement. Through the application of DX we will tackle these challenges from fresh angles.

  Furthermore we aim to encourage the widespread adoption of our new technologies among publishers bookstores and distribution companies contributing to the transformation of the entire publishing distribution into a sustainable model. Our goal is to maintain a comfortable reading environment where people can discover a wide range of appealing publications at storefronts.

  You will be working as a team member under the guidance of the Head of the Strategic Planning Department for the AI Publication and Distribution Business Division in a company that was established in March 2022. This company was formed by Marubeni Group Kodansha Co. Ltd. Shogakukan Inc. and Shueisha Inc. with the aim of reforming Japans publishing distribution into a sustainable model through the utilization of DX.

  The Business Division is planning to expand its team to over 50 members in the near future. This role offers a high level of autonomy ranging from service planning to supporting the Business Division Chief. Youll have the freedom to propose new services driven by AI and DX beyond the existing offerings. You can engage in various tasks based on your preferences and capabilities including service planning market research utilizing vendors vendor management and contract drafting.

  Responsibilities:

  1. Service Planning and Operation:

  • Propose new service ideas
  • Manage market research utilizing vendors
  • Coordinate vendor operations
  • Prepare various contractual documents

  2. Support to the Business Division Chief:

  • Handle industry association interviews and seminars
  • Evaluate and collect data related to bookstore collaborations and conduct negotiations

  3. Inhouse PMO Role:

  • Prepare and compile documents for working groups with external parties
  • Create and compile materials for executives
  • Prepare and compile weekly reports for executives

Minimum Requirements

  Experience in any of the following is acceptable:

  • Negotiation and communication experience with IT or publishing clients.
  • Experience working for a cloud service provider information and communication technology (ICT) company systems integration (SI) company or telecommunications equipment manufacturer focusing on improving cloud services involving internal and external stakeholders and participating in service planning and development.
  • Experience in a PMO role for projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in planning new services products or supporting new business development.
  • Skill in creating proposal and reporting documents for stakeholders.
  • Skill in keeping up to date with the latest digital technologies and uncharted territories.
