Job Description

About the Role:

Our client is seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join their team in Middlesborough and surrounding areas. You will play a crucial role in providing highquality care and support to individuals with learning disabilities autism epilepsy and those requiring spinal and bowel care. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals by promoting their independence dignity and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with learning disabilities autism epilepsy and those requiring spinal and bowel care.
  • Assist with daily living activities including personal care meal preparation medication administration and mobility support.
  • Implement and follow personalised care plans to meet the specific needs of each service user.
  • Support individuals in participating in community activities and social events encouraging engagement and social interaction.
  • Monitor and report on the health and wellbeing of individuals ensuring any changes are communicated promptly to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records of care provided and any incidents or observations.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including healthcare professionals family members and other support staff.
  • Uphold the dignity privacy and rights of all individuals promoting a personcentred approach to care.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies procedures and regulations including safeguarding and health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role providing care and support to individuals with learning disabilities autism epilepsy and those requiring spinal and bowel care.
  • Experience and training in learning disability autism epilepsy and spinal/bowel care are essential.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach with a strong commitment to providing highquality care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with service users families and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
