Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for an astute procurement officer to oversee purchasing activities and ensure that purchased items are both costefficient and of high quality. The procurement officers responsibilities include supervising staff maintaining positive supplier relations evaluating supply options approving purchases and maintaining accurate records.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment services and supplies.
  • Following and enforcing the companys procurement policies and procedures.
  • Reviewing comparing analyzing and approving products and services to be purchased.
  • Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
  • Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications delivery times product ranges etc.
  • Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.


Requirements

Requirements:

  • Degree in purchasing & supply chain/ related qualification in procurement
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in procurement
  • Should be willing to reside at our plantation near Kade Eastern Region
  • Should possess excellent negotiation skills




Location: Kade Eastern Region


Note: Relocation assistance will be provided to qualified applicants who do not reside in the Eastern Region.


Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field (preferred). Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in livestock farm management. Proven experience in breeding, animal health, and livestock production practices. Strong understanding of animal behaviour and husbandry techniques for specific livestock species (e.g., poultry, goat, pigs, fish and snail farming). Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate and manage farm staff. Business acumen and strong financial management skills. Proficiency in using agricultural software and record-keeping systems. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions. Strong work ethic, ability to handle physically demanding tasks, and willingness to work long hours during critical periods Employment Type: Full time Location: Winneba-Swedru Road
