ACCOUNTS OFFICER

JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Accra

Industry: Manufacturing/Insurance/Automobile/FMCG



Scope


The Accounts Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records processing transactions conducting bank reconciliations and managing accounts payable and receivable.


Key Responsibilities


  • ist in the preparation of financial statements reports and budgets.
  • Record financial transactions and maintain accurate bookkeeping records.
  • Process invoices expense reports and payments.
  • ist in bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
  • Support the monthend and yearend closing processes.
  • Help maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting principles.
  • ist in preparing tax filings and supporting doentation.
  • Respond to inquiries from management and vendors regarding financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.


Requirements


Requirements

  • A Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance or any related field of study.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role or its equivalent.
  • A good working knowledge of major accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Sage).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational ss.
  • Strong ytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication ss
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management ss
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suites specifically Microsoft Excel.
