Job Description


Job Title: Business Development Manager (Consumer electronics and meters)
Location: Ikeja Lagos

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven track record of conversions in the Consumer Electronics Telecoms and Meters industries. The successful candidate will drive sales growth in three key areas:
1. Consumer Electronics/Telecoms: B2B B2C and B2G sales
2. Meter Sales: Sales to Distribution Companies (Discos)
3. RLG Training Institute: Activation and sales of training programs


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in set areas
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities building relationships with key decisionmakers
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure effective sales support and delivery
  • Analyze market trends competition and customer needs to inform sales strategies
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Negotiate and close highvalue deals and strategic partnerships.
  • Activate and manage the RLG Training Institute including sales of training programs


Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in Business Development Sales or Marketing in the Consumer Electronics Telecoms and Meters industries
  • A hands on resource with management experience and own network for sales conversion
  • Proven track record of sales conversions and revenue growth
  • Strong understanding of the Nigerian market and industry trends
  • Excellent communication negotiation and relationshipbuilding skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business Administration Marketing etc.)


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in B2B B2C and B2G sales
  • Knowledge of consumer electronics
  • Knowledge of the Discos and meter sales landscape in Nigeria
  • Familiarity with training program sales and activation
  • MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification
