Summary:
As a Business Development Specialist you will be responsible for driving business growth within the company. You will develop a network of contacts to attract new clients research new market opportunities and oversee growth projects making sales projections and forecasting revenue in line with projected income.
Key Duties & Job Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Contact potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings to explore areas of improvement within their businesses and recommend value that would contribute to their overall business growth. In collaboration with the marketing team you will be Planning and overseeing initiatives that will improve acquisition from the targeted segments
- Researching organizations to identify if they are the right client fit for the business and if they have any needs that align with what is offered. This will also help them understand their buying Patterns and Trends.
- Sets Realistic Expectations with Clients to Increase value provided at any given time and create an opportunity pipeline while attracting new ones.
- In collaboration with marketing you will be required to Find and develop new markets and improve sales.
- Attending conferences meetings and industry events that are relevant to the organization. Developing Need specific proposals sourcing and responding to RFQs and RFP for potential clients.
- Developing your individual goals key results and initiatives that guide your activities towards the achievement of the set revenue and pipeline targets.
Key performance indicators and Metrics.
- Attainment of the set 100% Monthly revenue target.
- Adherence to CRM policy.
- Maintaining an equivalent of 3x set revenue target as your Pipeline at any given month New client acquisition.
- Frequency of Purchase from Existing clients.
- The customer lifetime value of each acquired account.
Person Specifications:
Qualifications experience and skills:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor s degree in business marketing or related field.
- Must have 4 years of proven experience as a Business Development Specialist dealing with B2Bstartupssomeone who has worked in a fastpaced startup environment.
- Having worked in a Recruitment of HR Consulting firm is an added advantage
- Have a very good understanding of the different industries within the market and the current trends within each industry.
- Ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadline and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to draw insights and act strategically based on data.
- Great relationship management and strong negotiation skills.
- Impeccable time management and ability to adapt to change.
