This is a remote position.
- Supports the Director and External Accountants in the performance of their duties;
- Manages Accounting Package across multiple entities including intercompany transactions;
- Accurately and diligently enters all transactions daily/weekly/monthly into accounting system;
- Uploads supporting evidence for all transactions entered;
- Performs bank reconciliations for all bank accounts;
- Preparation of payroll for multiple entities on a weekly basis;
- Preparation of monthly or Quarterly PAYG or Business Activity Statements;
- Prepares Annual Employee Payment Summaries;
- Preparation of quarterly superannuation returns for all entities as required;
- Reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts with main general ledger account;
- Reconciles general ledger accounts with external records (eg ATO integrated client account super and payroll tax);
- Supports the Director with Administrative tasks including but not limited to email and calendar management word document presentations etc;
Requirements
The role s minimum skills include:
- At least 3 years experience in Bookkeeping or accounting;
- Xero and Xero Payroll Certified;
- Experience using Xero;
- Intermediate Word and Excel skills;
- High attention to detail;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Desired Skills or Qualifications:
- Accounting degree;
- Experience working for an Australian company and therefore exposure to Australian Tax;
- Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word Certification;
- Well honed bookkeeping skills with above average communication skills.
