Manager Vehicle Motion Control Polestar Drive

The opportunity
Polestar is blazing a new trail dedicating ourselves to the development and refinement of electric vehicle performance. We are currently looking for our next Manager within Vehicle Motion Control to our Polestar Drive department.

This position is located at our HQ in Gothenburg Sweden including time at our Hllered proving ground. We believe in a hybrid model when it comes to remote and onsite work knowing that both inperson collaboration and individual time to focus are needed. The responsibilities
Its a role with global reach with both R&D center in UK and SWE. The company HQ is in Sweden and business units across Europe China and US and in addition to this the role has many external interfaces with strategic partners and suppliers.

As Manager you will be a key function enhancing Polestars further journey with the area of Vehicle Motion Control. You will be responsible for leading the teams planning and execution of the assigned projects as well as are closely involved in the daytoday activities and execute team tasks yourself. You report to the department manager within the EE unit and you will be a member of the leadership team.

The areas you and your team are responsible for:

• Brakes and steering partly suspension
• Systems engineering requirements on functional level subsystem level and component level
• Function design
• Tuning activities (simulation to invehicle)
• Supplier SW handling
• System Safety ISO26262
• Simulations development
• HIL SIL and MIL concept and implementation
• Advanced Engineering
• Roadmap and strategies

The ideal candidate
In order to succeed in this role and at Polestar in general there are a few characteristics youll need to have. Tenacity. Flexibility. Curiosity. In addition youll need the following qualifications:

• MSc or BSc degree in engineering or equivalent
• Previous experience in the field of Vehicle Motion electronics software function development and ownership and automotive development
• Specialized within a certain area within Vehicle Motion e.g. brake tuning or model based function development
• Good general chassis knowledge
• It will be seen as a strength if you come from a handson engineering background and would like to complement your engineering skills with leadership responsibility.
