Job Description

Job Description

  • Assess business and industry risks for credit applications.
  • Work closely with his direct manager to establish and update the policies and guidelines for the credit investigation process.
  • Monitor the market on a daily basis and inform his direct manager of any relevant market changes or new regulations from the Central Bank of Egypt.
  • Conduct field visits to the client’s premises to assess the financial and operational situation of the business.
  • Interview, correspond with and collect feedback from the client’s external stakeholders (suppliers, clients and competitors), industry experts and other financial institutions (as applicable) to assess and determine the client’s financial strength, reputation and ability to repay debts regularly.
  • Analyse information gathered through the investigation and report findings and recommendations.
  • Ensure proper coordination with concerned internal parties (primarily Credit Analysis and Credit Risk) and external parties (e.g. other financial institutions) to ensure timely completion of the credit investigation process.
  • Ensure compliance with the firm’s policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • 0-2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in background screenings and the investigation process.
  • Good interviewing, and, where necessary, interrogation skills.
  • Good documentation skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and Power point).
  • Strong analytical skills; independent judgment decisions in a timely manner.
  • Excellent command of Arabic and English.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
  • Able to build partnerships and work well in teams.
  • Can identify problems and refer/escalate complex issues to a higher level.
  • Multi-tasker, with the ability to meet changing deadlines, and to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
  • Attention to details; ensure deliverables are always of a high quality.
