We are seeking a visionary and strategic leader for the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) to drive operational excellence across our East Asia region including Southeast Asia (Thailand Malaysia Singapore) Greater China (China Hong Kong Taiwan) Japan and South Korea. This is a key leadership position reporting directly to the CEO with responsibility for executing our companys mission strategy and business plan while ensuring operational efficiency and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Leadership:
- Enhance operational efficiency through the strategic use of technology optimizing processes and ensuring data security.
- Lead crossfunctional teams to improve service delivery in the insurance & assistance sectors.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards across the region.
- Collaborate with regional operations leads to analyze performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- Assist the CEO in implementing strategic plans and contribute to regional business and product development.
- Provide insights and indepth analysis of operational performance and formulate actions for improvement.
2. IT and Digital Transformation:
- Oversee the IT infrastructure to ensure it meets current and future business needs.
- Partner with the CIO to implement and maintain technology solutions that enhance operations.
- Lead efforts in digital transformation focusing on automation data analytics and customer service enhancement.
- Promote innovation by adopting new technologies and processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the CTO to manage external vendors optimizing both cost and service quality.
3. Security Management:
- Ensure robust security measures are in place to protect sensitive customer and financial data.
- Work closely with the CISO to develop and implement cybersecurity strategies.
- Monitor security trends and threats to proactively address vulnerabilities.
- Oversee risk management and business continuity planning related to operational and IT security.
4. Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor operational teams fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
- Develop key leaders within the organization and prepare them for future growth and responsibilities.
- Build and lead highperforming teams across operations IT and security departments.
5. Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Drive process optimization and cost management initiatives to improve profitability.
- Monitor the competitive landscape to innovate and maintain market leadership.
- Translate strategic goals into actionable operational plans with clear objectives and measurable outcomes.
- Work closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to ensure alignment with the companys broader business objectives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in Business Administration Operations Management Information Technology or related field.
- Proven track record of at least 10 years in senior operational leadership roles preferably in the insurance or financial services sector.
- Extensive experience in managing IT systems digital platforms and cybersecurity initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of operational processes risk management regulatory compliance and industry best practices.
- Deep understanding of the insurance assistance industry and its regional nuances.
- Expertise in business process improvement digital transformation and innovation.
- Familiarity with operational software data analysis tools and emerging technologies (AI automation machine learning).
- Strong leadership communication and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multifunctional teams and largescale projects.
